Launching products and trade conferencing in Corona times: Talk of Town makes Blockbusters big!

Closed branches, cancelled events: the fight against the pandemic poses new daily challenges for marketing and sales of international companies, too! During the lockdown, Talk of Town. Waechter & Waechter continuously advises its clients on adapting their strategy. The agency impressively shows that communication can be a big office hit – even within current limitations.

Cinema sounds like good entertainment and smells like popcorn. For this reason the Swiss family-owned company Läderach recently launched a unique gourmet trilogy: Crispy popcorn with the finest of chocolate in three tempting varieties. In this fine snack, caramelized popcorn meets exquisite chocolate in milk, strawberry and caramel flavour. Unfortunately, pandemic response measures did not allow for live on-site promotions or movie shows on the big screen. Which means that in October Laderach had to switch the channel.

Talk of Town provides editors of relevant food and lifestyle magazines at home with small samples and all important information about the new cult snack. Particularly important for the product launch: referencing Laderach’s online shop, which conveniently delivers all new and old product highlights to your home. After in the second lockdown fortunately Laderach’s chocolate boutiques opened again. Talk of Town thus delivers the good news to German chocolate lovers and journalists alike: local supply, once again, is ensured!

THE BLOCKBUSTER AMONG ADVANCED TRAININGS

In November 2020, the first CinePosium of international dental specialist COLTENE was also held exclusively via the web seminar channels of the Swiss innovation leader. Following online seminars in a team on the practice’s own computer can sometimes be extremely tedious, depending on screen size and Internet connection. That’s why COLTENE planned the premiere of a very special format last year: an exciting mix of expert presentations on stage, international live panels and networking event. Unfortunately, live streaming from four European cinemas was not happening this time!

Instead, the stars of the dental industry lectured from their own practices and met for a virtual panel discussion on the web. Prof. Dr. Ivo Krejci charmingly presented experts in endodontics and restorative dentistry from Germany, Italy, Greece and Poland, who discussed current topics across all national borders. Thanks to the prominent announcement of the original hybrid event in the trade media, numerous dentists and practice teams nevertheless followed the lectures and panel discussions eagerly (even without interaction with live cinema audiences):
