The Wächter website process

01

Analysis & Strategy

We want to understand you, your goals, the target group and the market precisely. That's why we first look at your current website, your competition and the search environment and define the relevant KPIs for the new website.

02

Conception & Design

Your website should be intuitive, simple and clearly laid out and represent your company in a contemporary way. We base the structure, concept and design of your website on these goals.

03

Development & Content

With clean and efficient programming, we enable fast loading times and a smooth user experience. Our editorial team creates relevant content that informs and convinces your target group.

04

Go live & Support

Our quality assurance makes sure that your website works flawlessly. Then, we go live and stay by your side - for ongoing support, update management and, if necessary, further development of the website.

What makes good web design

1. Intuitive UX for a compelling user experience.

A well thought-out UX is the basis for good responsive web design and a successful website. Users need clear navigation and simple paths to the destination they want to reach on your website.

We organize the content on the website so that your visitors can find the information they need quickly and without thinking. This not only improves the user experience, but also increases the findability of your content in search engines. Win win.

2. Web design that makes your brand shine

We do not simply transfer the corporate design of your brand one-to-one to the website. We redesign brands for the internet. Of course, we use existing brand assets such as logo, colors, fonts and imagery for recognition value and a consistent brand experience. But that's just the basis.

We integrate your assets into a contemporary web design that works perfectly online, whether on smartphones, tablets or PCs. With an aesthetic that makes your brand shine digitally and can be experienced in a completely new way.

3. Content that convinces and sells

Words are important. Your story is important. Content for the web needs clear messages that show that you understand your visitors and can solve their problems.

You need convincing storytelling that leads to conversions. Or that entertains and inspires so that the relationship with your future customers can grow. And of course you want to sound like, well, you. Our content team brings your brand voice to life and tells your story.

4. State-of-the-art programming

In web development, our focus is on clean code, fast loading times, security and responsive design. We use current and future-proof technologies and the most modern development standards.

We stage the web design exactly to the pixel with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. For websites that really work and really convince. With WordPress we use the most popular CMS in the world, depending on project needs we also work with other content management systems such as Typo3 and Drupal.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cost of a new website?

Our websites are always custom made and as individual as you are. We do not work with off-the-shelf templates. The price for individually created websites including strategy, conception, design and development - and content production if required - varies greatly depending on the requirements of the project. Smaller websites can be created from around EUR 60,000, while large, complex and international websites can cost more than EUR 1 million.

One thing is certain: with us, there are no unexpected bills. In our offers, we break down the scope for each project phase in detail so that you don't experience any nasty surprises.

When do I need a new website?

There can be many reasons for a website relaunch. Here are a few classic signs that it's time for a new website:

  • outdated design
  • no (good) optimization for mobile devices
  • slow loading times
  • poor search engine optimization (SEO)
  • insufficient functionality
  • rebranding / repositioning of your brand

Do one or more of these points apply? Then you may need a new website. Because every case is unique and there are no fixed rules, please contact us. We will take a close look at your website and help you decide whether a relaunch is necessary or whether a refresh and update of your existing website will suffice.

Which content management system do you use?

We love to work with WordPress, the most popular content management system in the world. Currently, more than 60% of all websites that have a CMS are powered by WordPress. WordPress is extremely versatile and flexible. There are countless integrations with third-party systems, so that a connection to, for example, newsletter tools, CRMs or HR systems is usually very easy and fast. WordPress can easily be set up multilingually. It is designed to be SEO friendly and can be efficiently optimized even further for search engines.

We also use other content management systems on request and for special requirements. We are experienced in website implementation based on Typo3 and Drupal. And if you have or need a web store, we can implement it with Magento or Shopify.

Will I lose my rankings if I relaunch my website?

A website relaunch can cause temporary changes to your search rankings. However, with careful planning and implementation by our SEO experts, the effects can be minimized or avoided altogether. This applies in particular to the planning of 301 redirects so that existing rankings are maintained, the retention of important keywords and relevant content and the development of a solid technical SEO foundation for your new website.

And then let's stop talking about maintaining existing rankings and start talking about improving your search engine visibility with the new website.

Can I manage rebranding and website relaunch in one go?

Web design and branding go together perfectly. In our website projects, we first look at our clients' goals, the target group, the competition and the market environment - there's a lot of overlap with the research phase in a rebranding project. This creates synergies and means that it makes perfect sense to approach rebranding and website relaunch together.

How much time do I have to invest in a website project myself?

We know that the new website is not the only thing on your desk. That's why it's important to us to take as much work off your hands and do as little work as possible. We achieve this through our well-established processes, our close-knit project management and the principle that you have a central contact person for the entire project.

You should plan on spending between 5 and 10 hours per week. It can be more if you have a large team and need a lot of input internally. Or if you write all the content for the website yourself. When it comes to content, however, we can take a lot of the work off your hands with our editorial team!
